SHORT BIO
LINDA SUSSMAN is a NY-based award-winning singer-songwriter whose music is an Americana mix of folk & blues that digs deep into our shared human experience. Her strong vocals are often compared to Joan Baez, while her versatile guitar style includes open tunings, strong fingerstyle and acoustic slide. Linda's earliest musical inspiration came from listening to Bob Sherman's weekly Woody's Children radio show with her family, and she has followed in the tradition of crafting songs that meet the moment. As Ron Cooke (KTAL host) says: “Linda makes songs worth listening to. She makes the personal universal and the universal personal.” The many stages Linda has played range from the iconic NYC venue The Bitter End, the Long Island Music Hall of Fame and Landmark on Main Street's Jeanne Rimsky Theater to the more intimate Radio Bean (VT). Her music has charted #1 on the RMR's weekly Alternative Folk Album Chart and is played on radio internationally. Since 2018, Linda has released six full-length albums and numerous singles.
