There's a million ways for us to sing
Oh _ let freedom ring
Our trust in each other is everything"

SHORT BIO

LINDA SUSSMAN (Huntington, NY) is an award-winning singer-songwriter whose music is a mix of alternative-folk and blues that digs deep into our shared human experience. With songs of courage, love, struggles and triumphs, Linda's vocals are frequently compared to Joan Baez, while her self-taught guitar style leans into open tunings, strong fingerstyle and a bit of acoustic slide. As Ron Cooke (KTAL host) says: “Linda makes songs worth listening to. She makes the personal universal and the universal personal.” The many stages Linda has played range from the iconic NYC venues The Bitter End and Kenny's Castaways to the Long Island Music Hall of Fame and Landmark on Main Street's Jeanne Rimsky Theater to the more intimate Radio Bean (VT). Despite landing in a forced 10-yr hiatus, she returned in 2017 and, since 2018,  has released six full-length albums with her studio musicians. Linda's music is widely celebrated on the roots music and alt-folk charts and is played on radio internationally.
